Apocalypse
Most cards with a cost of 6 depend on having decks that are built around their ability or have a theme that uses their ability. Apocalypse is one of these cards. He costs 6 mana and has 8 power. If you throw him away, he gets stronger. He comes back to the player’s hand with four more power.
He is often the 6-cost card in discard decks because he can get a lot stronger if the deck keeps putting together pairs of discarders. Most of the time, you need Sif and Dracula to get the most out of Apocalypse. It’s up to the player to decide if they want to play Apocalypse on Turn 6 or keep him in their hand and let Dracula get even stronger when the dust settles.
America Chavez
America Chavez was one of the first 6-cost cards to come out in the early days of Marvel Snap. She is a great way for younger players to learn how powerful 6-cost cards can be. With a solid 9 power, America Chavez is always drawn on turn 6 because of her ability.
Other 6-cost cards can change the way the board works, but America Chavez keeps players in the game by being reliable. For players who are still figuring out which deck works best for them, America Chavez as the 6-cost card in their starting deck is a good choice.
Odin
Odin, who is the All-Father, is thought to be one of the better 6-cost cards in Marvel Snap. Once he is cast, he has 8 Power, and his ability is strong, especially for decks that focus on On Reveal effects.
This is because of Odin’s power. He has a power called “On Reveal,” which makes other cards’ “On Reveal” abilities work at the spot where he is played. This combination can change the way the board works. Especially when played with Wong and his many tricks with other On Reveal cards.
Arnim Zola
Arnim Zola is one of the 6-cost cards that is most useful in 6-cost combos. He gives decks that run him a more dynamic element. Even though he has 0 Power, his On Reveal ability removes a friendly card where he is played and copies that card to the other places.
This is a very strong way to use cards like Wolverine and Nimrod that get stronger when they are killed. Arnim Zola is also in Venom decks, because Venom can be sent to other places to eat helpful cards there. This makes his Power even stronger.
Knull
Knull is the best 6-cost card for players who want to get a prize for getting rid of cards on the board. His ability is a ticking time bomb because he gets the same amount of Power as all the cards that were killed in the game, even if they were on the other side. Since Knull is the Symbiote God in the books, he has this all-encompassing power.
In the late stages of a game, if Knull is played on a location where many cards were destroyed. Before the last turn, he can usually claim that location as a win for the player.
She-Hulk
She-Hulk is one of the more flexible 6-cost cards in Marvel Snap when it comes to surprise drops. At 9 Power, she changes the battle right away in favor of her player. But her ability is what makes her a good 6-cost card. For every unused Energy from the previous turn, her cost goes down by one.
Because of this, she can be a sneaky early drop for players who build a deck around her ability. Sunspot and Wave are great combo partners for She-Hulk. Sunspot gets more Power for each unspent Energy. And Wave can stop the opponent’s progress and hard cast She-Hulk on turn 4.
Magneto
Magneto is the 6-cost card whose ability feels like it changes the game for players who want to feel like they are in charge. The Master of Magnetism has 12 Power and a strong ability that lets it pull any of the opponent’s 3- and 4-cost cards from other places to where Magneto has been played.
This is a strong ability to use because it can mess up your opponent’s side of the board, and Magneto’s amazing Power stat means that he can usually beat the 3- and 4-cost cards he pulled to his position.
Doctor Doom
Doctor Doom is a good close-out card for people who want to add more big cards to their places. He has 5 Power, which isn’t as strong as other 6-cost cards. But his On Reveal ability makes up for it. Once he is played, Doctor Doom puts two Doom Bots with 4 Power and no abilities on the other spots.
Most of the time, having an extra 4 Power in two places is just enough to win Tunnel Rush. Because of this, Doctor Doom is a strong 6-cost card that any team should have.
Thanos
Thanos is a strong 6-cost card that is part of the dangerous Leech and Lockjaw deck. When he gets to the board, the game is over. No matter what deck Thanos is in, six Infinity Stones will be added to the deck. If the player plays all six Infinity Stones, Thanos gets a huge +10 Power.
Each Infinity Stone has its own “On Reveal” ability, which only takes 1 Energy. Players have found ways to speed up the process of putting these Stones in place. Which will make Thanos a 20-Power monster who will win wherever he goes.
Galactus
When it comes to 6-cost cards that define the metagame, Galactus is the best. At first glance, a 6-cost, 3-Power card might seem weak, and his “On Reveal” ability, which destroys all locations except the one he is played on if he has no other ally cards there and beats the opposing player’s card power on the same location, might seem like a gimmick, but there have been ways to use it reliably.
The famous Wave deck lets players cast him on Turn 4, and it has become such a problem that Galactus and other important cards were nerfed to make the metagame more fair.
